• Quality and safety of feeds and animal products in line with current legislation, processors’ requirements, and consumer preferences.
• The influence of nutrition on animal health and welfare.

• Reducing the environmental impact of livestock farming.
• Alternative production systems (organic, ecological, etc.).
• Studies in nutrition physiology aimed at improving current animal nutrition systems.

Partnerships within national research and development projects

On topics related to the nutrition and biology of farm animals, involving either animal trials or laboratory testing.

Partnerships focused on technology transfer

For transferring research results to potential beneficiaries (through collaboration with County Offices for Agricultural Consultancy – OJCA, County Agricultural Directorates – DADR, Research Centres – CC, professional associations, municipalities, professional journals, etc.).

Available Infrastructure for Collaboration

The institute can provide the following facilities:

• Experimental livestock facilities for conducting nutrition trials on the main farm animal species/categories (cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry).
• Land, agricultural machinery, and feed resources for producing experimental roughages under controlled conditions and conducting studies on their preservation.
• Nutrition physiology laboratory for the main farm animal species/categories (cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry): digestibility stands/cages, fistulated animals, climate-controlled rooms.
• ISO 17025-accredited laboratory for the analysis of feeds, animal products, and biological samples (including proximal analyses, chromatography, spectrometry, etc.).
• Mycotoxicology analysis laboratory.
• Compound feed manufacturing line, adapted for producing experimental compound feeds (small batches, multiple experimental variants, etc.).
• Communication facilities (modern computers, high-speed internet, amphitheatre, meeting rooms, etc.).
